BTEC linked experiences, progressive sessions and courses

We offer 3, 6 and 12 week courses aimed at fulfilling the BTEC curriculum requirements These can focus on dinghy sailing, windsurfing and paddle sports, or a range of land based activities. We can link sessions to specific core subject learning outcomes.

After-school water sports, or land based clubs for students and staff can be arranged for in the 3-6pm slot.

Choose from dinghy sailing, windsurfing, raft building, kayaking or SUP at Buzz Active Eastbourne.

Stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, XL paddle boarding, raft building , orienteering and shelter building at Buzz Active Cuckmere

Or Climbing, Archery, Air rifles, crate stacking, bush craft and fire lighting, team games and camping residentials at Bushy Wood Activity centre.

One-off sessions from 1.5, 2, 2.5 or 3 hour sessions to ‘have a go’ in one or two activties.

This is a good introduction to our range of sports and activities. Taster sessions can be run at any of our sites in the corresponding available activities.

All our activities have an element of changing, introduction to the equipment and coaching prior to going afloat or getting hands on, we also supervise a debrief and changing back as part of the allotted session times.

Transition and enrichment days for your class or year group

Adventure days @ Buzz Active Cuckmere

We can typically cater for groups between 6-100 participants at the Cuckmere, a standard activity day is a 4.5-hour day, and a longer day being 6 hours.

A fun day of education out on the water which can include a range of paddle sports and team-building activities.

Adventure days @ Buzz Active Eastbourne

We can typically cater for groups between 6 and 60 participants at the Eastbourne site, a standard activity day is a 4.5-hour day, and a longer day being 6 hours.

A fun day which will include a range of water sports including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, or raft building.

Adventure days @ Buzz Active Bushy Wood

Typically catering for groups between 6-150 participants, a standard activity day is a 4.5-hour day, and a longer day options being 6 or 7 hours.

Build your own package with a choice of climbing, archery, orienteering, bush craft, pioneering, rifles, high ropes and team building tasks.

The site can also offer accommodation in bunk houses or under canvas. Tents and all equipment needed for a residential can be hired as a package from the site.

“We just wanted to provide some feedback on our week with Buzz Active Eastbourne. We were really impressed with the confidence, enthusiasm, knowledge and skill of the instructors. They were fantastic at engaging and enthusing our pupils, some of whom were a little nervous of the water! They were incredibly patient and kind and as a result our pupils had the most amazing week. The versatility of the instructors to switch activities based on the changing weather conditions whilst still ensuring our pupils didn’t miss out and had a great time was admirable. The vast majority of our pupils picked their day with Buzz Active as their favourite experience of the week (no mean feat when it has included activities such as Thorpe Park amongst others!) “We have 200 of our Year 7 students taking part in team and skill building activities at @Buzz Active Water Sports down on the seafront this week.

The weather has been glorious, with Eastbourne well and truly living up to its ‘Sunshine Coast’ name! Our students have certainly made the most of being on the water.

Activities have included windsurfing, kayaking, raft building, sailing and stand-up paddle board classes, undertaken with smiles and good humor all round.

Undoubtedly though the highlight of their trip has been the opportunity to ‘dunk’ their tutors off their paddle board (just ask Mr. Lennon how he feels! Poor Mr. Lennon).

What a week!

A very big thank you to Buzz Active for hosting our students , we certainly highly recommend. A great company offering a huge variety of activities right on our doorstep in Eastbourne, if you want to gain confidence on the water and have some fun then definitely give them a go.

As ever, a huge thank you to Mrs. Papagna and everyone who supported the students in this trip and, as ever, a big thanks to her trusty steed – Biscuit the dog!”

I would like to mention that both your instructors, Luke and George, were excellent in their skills in dealing with our young people- both being expert tutors- being supportive and understanding with the skills levels of the two groups- whilst also ensuring the day was great fun. My daughter, who is twelve, had a whale of a time on the Buzz Cuckmere Adventure week. She had a great time kayaking, den-building and orienteering and particularly enjoyed stand-up paddle-boarding. She said that the staff were really friendly and enthusiastic, and wanted to go back for more, so that we ended up sending her to another session of kayaking the following week. When she got there for the second time she was very impressed that the staff remembered her name and welcomed her back. Again she had a great time and I think she will want to return again in future holidays. Thank you very much to all at Buzz Active!
